Dirs2Help

The program Dir2Help scans all folders specified by the user, and builds the set of files for Chm/HxS. The project includes all files allowed by “Files filter”. The Help in format Chm/HxS is compiled.

The user can build Help for the whole catalogues, Web projects and etc.

 

 

Text box Project folder - Selection of a folder where you place html files for which it is necessary to construct Chm/Hxs Help. Drag and drop folder here or use button.

 

Text box Files filter - The filter for processing all files in folders, extension of which coincides with one from the list, for example: .htm. This filter is used for linkage of pages and for selection of files in the Help. The list of files is set through a space, for example .htm* .php

 

Text box Graphics folder - Folder of images for navigation. Drag and drop folder here, either enter path manually or use the button. The Graphic folder should be subdirectory of the project directory.

Text box Help format - Selection of a format of compiled Help.

Supports two formats Chm and HxS. Compilation of the Help would be possible, if you installed application hhc.exe (HTML Help 1.x) or/and hxcomp.exe(MS Help 2.x)

 

Consequence of transformation of a set of the folders into Help

1.     The set of html files is linked with hyper references Back/Home/Next.

2.     The set of files is built for Chm/HxS project.

3.     Help in a format Chm/HxS is compiled.

After each step it is possible to define the user program for additional processing. The list of these programs is defined in section <Word2Help> in a file of the project.
